Biography

Furong Gao, Ph.D., is a Research Manager of a team of Research Scientists and Research Associates. As part of the team's mission to provide Research leadership to a broad portfolio of large-scale assessments, Dr. Gao provides technical and managerial support to the team. She is actively involved in the research development of Acuity, as well as other CTB assessment products.

Dr. Gao has worked as a Research Scientist on TerraNova in both a lead and a secondary capacity. In addition, she led the norming study of TerraNova, providing technical leadership all phases of the design and implementation of the norm-referenced test.

Previously at CTB, Dr. Gao has been a Research Scientist for custom tests published by CTB. She has provided technical leadership for large-scale assessments in both Maryland and in Indiana.
