Language Proficiency
Assess language ability and proficiency of English language learners from Kindergarten through Grade 12. Accurately place English learners in the appropriate proficiency level for bilingual or English as a second language programs, or determine if they are ready to exit these programs.
Assess Spanish language ability and proficiency from Kindergarten through Grade 12. Accurately determine primary language proficiency to provide appropriate instructional programs for English learners for Bilingual or English as a Second Language programs.
Assess English language proficiency for initial placement of English language learners into appropriate instructional programs in grades K through 12.
Standards-based lesson plans for teachers are grade-level appropriate and tailored to proficiency level and skill area to support ESL classroom instruction. Teaching activities and strategies cover Grades K-12, with five proficiency levels: Beginning, Early Intermediate, Intermediate, Proficient, and Above Proficient.
